This is the correct Airborne Garrison cap that would have been worn in training in England before D-Day and during the time of the Normandy Invasion. It comes with the parachute cap badge already sewn on.


This is the O.D. (brown) overseas side cap which was worn and issued in Europe during World War Two by all US troops, each branch of service had a different colour braid on the cap. The Airborne was part of the Infantry so wore the Blue Infantry hat cord braid with the Airborne cap badge.

WW2 US Officers overseas side cap made in the Officers OD 51 colour with the black and gold hat braid on it for officers. It was worn with a standard size metal Officers rank attached to the left hand side of the cap (rank badge not included).
This Officers cap was worn from Lieutenants to Colonels.
